History
Following the start given to them by their son Danny, Mike and Glenys Thomas started training in Thai Boxing under the guidance of Russ Williams. Shortly afterwards their daughters Sian and Beth joined them.
They are all grateful for the help and support Russ gave them.
Mike and Glenys, well supported by all their family, have been teaching for over twelve years.
As the club developed a number of students progressed to fight in the ring. At that time the club did not have a name because we were not based in a single location. At one of the shows the MC asked our close friend Ian Stewart, Instructor at Wrexham Thai Boxing Club, where a fighter was from and he said Thomas Thai Boxing and the name stuck eventually evolving to Thomas Muay Thai.
Glenys started fighting in the ring after she had three children and was undefeated and went on to become North Wales Champion.
We have had many successes in the ring with Josh McCann winning a junior title, Neil Parry winning Welsh and British titles whilst training with us and most recently Beth Thomas winning the ISKA North West area title.
Ricky Nicholson the former World Super Heavy weight Champion and K1 fighter has been a close family friend for many years and has regularly trained with us.
Although we are pleased with the success of our fighters everyone who trains with us is equally important. They all have their individual goals and we will continue to do all in our power to help them achieve them.
